Irregular periods are one of the most common signs of PCOS. Most period apps expect a neat 28-day cycle. PCOS Scan doesn’t.
Your period, in one calendar
The Log tab shows a month calendar with your period days marked. Tap Period started on the day it begins and Period ended when it’s over. Under the calendar you’ll see where you are, like “Period day 3” or “34 days since last period”.
Long bleeds are common with PCOS, so there’s no limit on how long a period can be. If you forget to tap “ended”, the app asks you later instead of guessing.
No pressure to predict
The app only sends a period heads-up when your cycle is steady: at least three full cycles logged, each a similar length. If your cycle is irregular, you get nothing rather than a wrong guess. No “late” messages either.
How you feel, each day
A quick check-in lets you pick a mood from Rough to Great, add a short note and log your weight if you want. Over time you can spot patterns, like how you feel around your period, or after a week of better meals.
Weight, without the sting
If you log your weight, the trend card shows your progress and your goal, if you set one. Changes toward your goal are green. A gain is never shown in red, because weight goes up and down and that’s normal. Prefer not to see it? Turn weight off in Settings.
Everything in one place
Your meal scans show up under each day, next to your check-in and period. And your weekly plan ticks “Check in” and “Weigh in” for you when you log them.
Bring your log to your next doctor’s visit. A record of your cycles can make that conversation easier.
Questions
Will it predict my next period?+
Only when your cycle is steady. Once you've logged at least three full cycles of similar length, the app can send a heads-up about two days before your next one may start. If your cycle is irregular, it doesn't guess.
Do I have to log my weight?+
No. Weight is optional, and you can turn it off completely in Settings. Your saved weigh-ins stay if you turn it back on.
Where is my data stored?+
On your phone. Your periods, check-ins and weight stay on your device.
