About PCOS Scan
PCOS Scan is an iPhone app that helps women with PCOS decide what to eat. Point the camera at a meal, a restaurant menu or a food label and see how it fits PCOS, with an estimated blood-sugar curve and better swaps.
This site explains how the app works and answers everyday PCOS food questions in plain language.
Who’s behind it
Ivaylo Zahariev, Founder & Engineer
Ivaylo is a software engineer who builds PCOS Scan and this site. The goal is simple: make it easier to know what’s on your plate, without strict diets or guilt. Ivaylo is not a doctor or a dietitian, so every guide here is based on published research and clinical guidelines, and lists its sources.
How we write
- Every guide lists its sources, like the international PCOS guideline and peer-reviewed studies.
- Every guide shows the date it was last reviewed, and we update pages when the research changes.
- We never say the app or an article diagnoses, treats or cures anything. Everything here is educational, not medical advice.
